Our COO Golo von Basum and Clinical Affairs Manager Kim van Noort had an incredible time at the RAPS Euro Convergence in sunny Berlin, alongside over 900 experts of regulatory affair from around the globe. "I was thrilled to present and moderate a pre-conference workshop for start-ups, focusing on the vital topic of how to do fundraising," says Golo. Throughout the event, Kim and Golo engaged in discussions with key figures from EMA (European Medicines Agency), NBs (Notified Bodies), fellow start-ups, investors, and regulatory affairs decision-makers. "We navigated the EU-MDR for start-ups, the intricacies of clinical testing in the EU, latest updates in biocompatibility testing, leveraged upon the EMA expert panel for clinical strategy feedback, and much more", explains Kim. 🎉 What an incredible experience at the 2024 Charing Cross Symposium! It was an honor to present the most recent data on our resorbable fibrillated scaffold (RFS) and how to reconstruct new arteries directly within the human body using a fully minimally-invasive approach. Also, it was a pleasure to discuss the future of resorbable scaffolds for below-the-knee indications with the many participants, throughout the whole event and the panel session we participated into. A huge thanks to the organization for the invite to showcase our progress on this stellar stage, topped by a faculty dinner at the beautiful Royal Naval College. We use this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Sahil Parikh, MD (fellow panel member), Dr. Ramon L. STENTiT (Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands) aims to prevent hundreds of thousands of amputations every single year, in the treatment of below-the-knee critical limb ischemia. Their solution is a regenerative stent, fully made from bioresobable nanofibers. This stent will not just only open the occluded artery, but even reconstruct a new blood vessel from the inside-out. STENTiT is reconstructing an artery from the inside out.
