Last week, the RoboCup 2024 took place in Eindhoven, and what a great event it was! Thank you to all the participating teams, visitors, organizers, and, of course, the volunteers for making this event happen. RoboHub participated in the AtWork league, where SWOT from Germany emerged as the champion! RoboHub provided organizational work and live streaming throughout the entire event, allowing family and friends from around the world to follow their teams' competitions. Next year in Brazil, we aim to make this even better. Unfortunately, the event did not go as planned for us. Every day, something broke in our robot, from motors malfunctioning during the first three days to the lidars not working during the finals. This was an unfortunate combination of bad luck and imperfect preparation. However, we learned a lot during this week, and our team grew closer. We are not giving up and can't wait to see all the other teams again in Brazil next year!

Robohub Eindhoven is an organization that promotes students and professionals to discover new solutions for robotic systems. Our team consists of well-motivated students and young professionals with a passion for Industry 4.0. We started as a Fontys centre of expertise project and have since grown into a team of diverse and expert members. We compete in some of the world’s most advanced robotics competitions to challenge ourselves, push forward innovation and meet like-minded individuals. We share our knowledge of robotic systems with companies to help them automate and bring the fourth industrial revolution to those who want it. Robohub is competing in international competitions at the highest level of robotics like the Robocup and the Delta advanced automation contest. The knowledge gained at these events are the foundation of all other activities within Robohub Eindhoven Furthermore, Robohub also offers multiple opensource programs to give the competition a chance to catch up! Recently, RoboHub Eindhoven , a team of motivated students and professionals in the robotics field, was invited to present during our weekly knowledge-sharing session at our Eindhoven office. Stefan Clercx and (Demcon intern) Sem van der Worp explained the origin and motives of the RoboHub foundation and introduced the upcoming RoboCup competition. Hosted in Eindhoven this year! To follow up on this, a technical deep dive was given into the design of their new robot SLIICK, taking participation in the Work competition league.
