Adviseur en investeerder voor de toekomst.

Over ons

𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 Rebel is once again achieving impact, this time with co-financing for the construction of schools in Flanders. Rebel does this through the 'Schoolkracht' consortium together with partners AG REAL ESTATE, EPICo² and Ethias. The Flemish Education Minister Ben Weyts of Flanders today concluded an agreement with the consortium for 27 new schools to be built. The project costs 400 million euros.   In this public-private partnership, it is the school that gives its own interpretation to the plans and a private partner that then provides the financing and develops the school's wishes into projects. Rebel is involved in the kick-off of an ambitious new school construction program in Flanders, involving the creation of 450,000 m² of additional school space for 85,000 students at a cost of 1 billion euros. A great contribution to education in Flanders.   Steven Steppe, director Rebel: “𝘙𝘦𝘣𝘦𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴.”   The agreement with the consortium, in which Rebel co-finances, is a first step in this project. 27 schools will be designed, built and maintained for no less than 30 years. A nice detail is that private individuals can co-finance and thus become a 'shareholder' in a school. #education #school #flanders #investment #PPP

As strategic impact advisor, Rebel supports the Aqua for All team to further refine and implement its impact management system. Rebel also provides transaction advise during the process towards closing a variety of strategic partnership projects with financial institutions across Kenya and beyond, to ensure they are designed to achieve the highest impact. June 20, a delegation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya, joined Aqua for All during a day to meet its partners: National Bank of Kenya (NBK): Since 2021 Aqua for All has partnered with NBK to build up a water and sanitation portfolio. The bank shared its experiences as a new player to building the right ecosystem for sustainable and scalable lending in the sector. Gichungu Water project and Mobi-Water: Two of the beneficiaries of Aqua for All are Gichungu Water, a rural piped water scheme, and Mobi-Water, a smart water company. Gichungu has undergone an energy transition to improve efficiency, using commercial finance. Mobi water, a smart metering company, uses commercial finance to grow its business to serve more clients. Sidian Bank: At Aqua for All, climate action and gender inclusion are integral aspects of the partnerships with financial institutions and investors. Together with Sidian Bank and Oikocredit, a new programme was launched, mobilising private capital for the water sector, climate and gender. Building on the collaboration to increase access to #WASH financing in Kenya, this new programme has an impact focus on lending for climate and gender, to foster sustainable, resilient WASH SMEs and enhance the well-being of women and girls. This programme not only contributes to progressing towards achieving SDG 6 but will also contribute to achieving other SDGs. Link to video: https://lnkd.in/d7cPH9y3 Rebel is proud and committed to working together with Aqua for All as Lead Impact Advisor and contributing to their unique strategy to mobilise finance for water and sanitation in Africa and Asia, yielding direct impact results for people and also creating more systemic change in the market unlocking private finance for an underserved sector. Thank you Strathmore University for the opportunity last weekend to share our experiences with the students as well. As part of Rebel’s continuous focus on staff development and corporate responsibility, our infrastructure and operations team was a guest at the Museum Steamtram Hoorn-Medemblik in North Holland, for a pro bono consulting assignment on organisational development. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff in the office, the historic stations, and the train, while working in a different environment – ‘experiencing the product’. The two teams came up with new insights to further develop the museum function in relation to the staff roles, that were very well received by the client. At the same time, the individual learning goals of the team were met. Another job well done: ‘No Change without a REBEL’ #infrastructure #station #museum #development

Our Rebels, in partnership with LBST and TÜV SÜD, completed a Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH-funded mission to Namibia to contribute to the country’s ongoing efforts to ready its quality infrastructure for producing, transforming, transporting, and using green hydrogen. Meetings with the Namibian Standards Institution and a workshop to discuss hydrogen technical standards and green hydrogen certification schemes brought together key public and private sector stakeholders. The initiative is aimed at ensuring investor certainty, thereby allowing Namibia to contribute to global decarbonisation through green hydrogen exports based on the country’s excellent renewable energy generation potential. In the workshop, our Rebel Laurens Cloete commented that Namibia has the potential to offer high-quality green hydrogen, meeting the most stringent sustainability criteria demanded by importing countries. #GreenHydrogen #Sustainability #QualityInfrastructure #Namibia #RenewableEnergy #NoChangeWithoutaRebel #LBST #TÜVSÜD #GIZ #NSI
