Our choice of words, and the stories we tell, have the power to perpetuate or dismantle gender inequality. Small adjustments can make a big difference to how included our colleagues feel! So to kick off our inclusive language campaign this summer, we’re shining a light on the commonly used (but problematic) phrase: “HI GUYS”    Why is it problematic?  It is often used to address mixed-gendered groups in to set a more relaxed and informal tone.
