We are excited to share the fantastic results from Greenhabit's recent 12-week program, powered by our gamified solution! 🎉 Greenhabit's AI-based treatment program, designed to influence individual lifestyle choices and improve quality of life, has led to incredible achievements. Greenhabit’s most recent client collectively walked a staggering 28,226 KM – that's nearly 20 million steps! 🚶♂️🚶♀️ Thanks to this incredible effort, they were able to donate a generous cheque to a deserving charity. We couldn't be prouder of the role our work at Grendel Games played in this journey. This success story is a testament to innovative, AI-driven interventions to stimulate healthier, happier lifestyles. 🌟

Today, we’re taking a look at our game Water Battle! We partnered with water company Vitens some time ago in making this game to tackle excessive water consumption. By challenging primary schools and neighbourhoods, we're helping spread water usage more evenly throughout the day, reducing energy strain on pumps. In the pilot, children from Leeuwarden helped whimsical water creatures while simultaneously helping residents to spread water usage more evenly. By letting children and their parents work together, multiple generations learn about sustainable consumption in a fun and exciting way.

We believe that our people are at the heart of what makes our games special. This week, we’re excited to put Thomas Jager in the spotlights! Thomas is our Operational Director and has been with us for 7 months. Thomas makes sure that all day-to-day activities run smoothly. He helps us plan, prioritize and make sure we’re able to do our job well. He makes sure all processes work well and improves them when necessary. Thomas also helps us find the right external partners to help with development when needed. Some of the things he enjoys are reading science fiction and working in Excel (what?!). Thomas also knows a lot about brewing the perfect cup of coffee. Game-wise, he like stealth games, such as the Hitman series and Metal Gear Solid. Drop a comment to say hi to Thomas! 👋

What is the primary goal of serious games? Many people associate games solely with entertainment, but serious games have a different purpose. So what do you think is the primary goal of serious games? Serious games are designed to help educate, train, and inform players. They use interactive and engaging game mechanics to teach complex concepts, develop new skills, and encourage critical thinking. Serious games offer a dynamic and impactful learning experience. It's still important for serious games to be enjoyable. You may find an element of competition to challenge you, but it is not the main goal.
