Previously, translations were made available in #Japanese, #Bahasa Indonesian, and French. You can download the Standard in the language of your choice here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eqAUUehR Launched in February, GRI 14 addresses 25 topics that are likely material for companies in the sector and: ✅ Sets expectations for site-level transparency that reflect local impacts, to help stakeholders assess impacts and risks by location and specific minerals. ✅ Covers critical themes that range from emissions to waste, human rights to land and resource rights, climate change to biodiversity, anti-corruption to community engagement. ✅ Introduces three topics not previously addressed by GRI yet are of specific relevance to mining firms: tailings management, artisanal and small-scale mining, and operating in conflict zones. #GRIStandards and the #ESRS: two sides of the same coin? The 2nd appointment of our #CSRDEssentials campaign dives into the ESRS —disclosure requirements that companies must meet to comply with the #CSRD. They offer a unified approach to sustainability reporting across the EU, increasingly aligned with the GRI Standards thanks to ongoing collaboration between us and EFRAG! 📖 The CSRD Essentials clarifies the key aspects of the ESRS: structured into cross-cutting, topical and sectoral, sector-specific, and standards, they encompass various disclosure requirements. Standards differ based on company type: ✅Large companies and listed firms: comprehensive reporting requirements. ✅Listed SMEs: simplified standards tailored to their capacity and complexity. ✅Third-country companies: standards phased in over time. ✅Non-listed SMEs: voluntary standards focusing on basic sustainability narratives. For more information, including detailed application criteria and timeline, look at the infographics below, and read p.11 of the CSRD Essentials👉 https://lnkd.in/dKhzxmce Get familiar with GRI-ESRS interoperability 👉https://lnkd.in/dxMCZB9H #Transparency #CorporateReporting #EUStandards #SustainabilityReporting

Endorsed by 130 businesses and financial institutions with combined revenues of $1.1 trillion, the Business for Nature's new statement, published today, sets out five high-level policy recommendations that can help accelerate the implementation of the #BiodiversityPlan to drive corporate #nature action. We also support this statement and its objectives, particularly to: ✅ Make sure business and finance protect nature and restore degraded ecosystems ✅ Ensure sustainable resource use and management to reduce negative environmental impacts ✅ Value and embed nature in decision-making and disclosure Our revised #Biodiversity Standard (#GRI101), aligned with the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, is there to help organizations better understand which decisions and business practices lead to biodiversity loss, where in their value chain impacts occur, and how they can be managed.
📣🌱 This is our window to secure a #NaturePositive economy for all by 2030. With less than 100 days until the UN Biodiversity #COP16, we’ve published a business statement outlining five high-level policy recommendations for governments to accelerate the implementation of the #BiodiversityPlan to drive corporate #Nature action. The statement, endorsed by 130 businesses and financial institutions with combined revenues of $1.1 trillion, calls on governments to adopt policies to: 🌎 Make sure business and financial actors protect nature and restore degraded ecosystems 🌎 Ensure sustainable resource use and management to reduce negative environmental impacts 🌎 Value and embed nature in decision-making and disclosure 🌎 Align all financial flows to transition to a nature-positive, net zero and equitable economy 🌎 Adopt or strengthen ambitious global agreements to address key nature loss challenges It’s time for governments to create an enabling regulatory framework and put nature at the heart of decision-making. 🔗 Find out more: bit.ly/BizCOP16
