On this International Women's Day, I want to share a story that exemplifies the power of women supporting each other. About six months ago, I was in the midst of developing my website for CVT Recruitment B.V. and found myself in need of models for the site's pictures. Three incredible women, whom I didn't even know, generously stepped up and offered their assistance. Taking those pictures was already pushing me out of my comfort zone, but little did I know, it would lead to something even greater – a new hire for my own company; super sourcer Sabine Zwanenburg, who was one of the ladies in the pictures. This experience taught me an invaluable lesson: when you step outside your comfort zone, don't hesitate to ask for help. And if you see someone struggling, extend a helping hand. You never know the impact it might have, not just on them, but also on yourself. I'm sharing this because it's far too easy to overlook those who may be in need, especially women who often feel the pressure to do everything on their own. I've been fortunate enough to have had several female mentors throughout my career, and now I'm proud to say that I serve as a role model and coach for multiple women in my life. This fills me with humility and I am determined to pay it forward. So, if you ever find yourself hesitating, just remember: helping out a sister can lead to incredible opportunities and growth for both of you. Blij en dankbaar dat zijn de woorden die in mij opkomen voor 2023 en het begin van 2024. Ten eerste: ik ben super enthousiast over mijn nieuwe interim opdracht bij RAM Infotechnology. Naast recruiten ga ik mij ook bezighouden met een kwaliteitsslag voor de recruitment afdeling. Brigitte Heilmann dank voor deze introductie! En dan CVT Recruitment B.V. , mijn eigen baby. Het laatste half jaar van 2023 was als een DIY-aflevering. Overstap van eenmanszaak naar BV, Check! met alle bijbehorende blauwe enveloppen, gek op post..... Dat jaar bracht me meer; Professionele fotoshoot? Yep. Een website? Uiteraard! Implementatie van een ATS-systeem? Zeker weten! Onboarden van nieuwe klanten? Absoluut. En dan mijn nieuwste recruit, Sabine Zwanenburg, oftewel het powerhouse van het team. Ik heb zelfs nóg een vacature voor een remote recruiter de wereld in geslingerd. Het was als regenbogen en eenhoorns; living the dream en dan voor mijn bedrijf. Want dat lees je altijd op social media, toch? Oh nee; er waren ook meerdere niet-zo-grappige momenten. Mijn grootste klant stopte halverwege het jaar de samenwerking vanwege een reorganisatie. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg was, werd de (op papier simpele) transitie van eenmanszaak naar BV, een langlopend epos met meer plotwendingen dan een soapserie of gemiddelde boeketreeks. Plaatsingen die al getekend waren, gingen plotseling in rook op. Mijn geplande omzet was ver te zoeken. Toch besloot ik de regie los te laten en te vertrouwen dat er iets moois op mijn pad zou komen. Een beetje eng, maar ik geloof dat als je het beste voorhebt met mensen, je beloont wordt met de juiste connecties (en bijbehorende karma punten). En zo geschiedde, het jaar is mooi afgesloten met voldoende tijd en reflectie om alle processen goed in te richten. Klaar voor de toekomst! 2024 wordt weer een jaar dat er hard gewerkt mag worden. Want laten we eerlijk zijn, successen komen niet zomaar aanwaaien, hoeveel punten je ook verzameld hebt. Voor iedereen die tot hier is gekomen met lezen: maak er een geweldig jaar van! 📸 Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone - Profile Pictures for My Website! 📸 Today, I'd like to share a personal milestone! I recently had the opportunity to do a professional photo shoot. As CVT Recruitment B.V. is growing significantly I decided it was finally time for a website! The idea of being in front of the camera and posing was outside my comfort zone, but I knew I had to take on this challenge. The last 12 months, whilst growing my business, I've also dedicated time to personal development. I've explored areas of myself I did not even know about and it enables me to help my clients and candidates even better. When I saw the final photos, I was happy and felt proud of the step I had taken. The photographer was fantastic and created a relaxed atmosphere. The photos did not only captured the moment but also a sense of empowerment and confidence, exactly what I wanted for my website. Why am I sharing this? Because I believe we all need to step out of our comfort zones from time to time. It can help us grow, discover new perspectives, and make us stronger, both professionally and personally.
