Welcoming our new CEO at CarePay! 🚀 We are happy to announce the appointment of Pieter Prickaerts as the new CEO of CarePay International. Pieter officially takes over the position on July 1st, 2024. After nine years of service, Kees will step down as CEO, but, as one of the co-founders of the company, will remain closely involved with the CarePay group in an advisory capacity. 👏 We are immensely grateful for Kees' vision, commitment, and the incredible growth we have achieved under his leadership. Thank you, Kees van Lede, for everything you’ve done for CarePay! 🙏 Pieter has been with the CarePay group since 2019, first as Customer Success Director, and since 2023, as Managing Director of M-TIBA, the company's subsidiary in Kenya. In these roles, Pieter played a pivotal role in scaling CarePay's technology in Kenya, making health insurance more accessible and affordable for Kenyans. Before joining CarePay, Pieter worked at McKinsey & Company across various geographies. Maarten Ras, Chief Commercial Officer of CarePay, is transitioning to the role of Advisor after a remarkable 7 years with the company. During his tenure, Maarten has been instrumental in driving CarePay’s commercial strategies and fostering new partnerships and collaborations, particularly through its subsidiary M-TIBA in Kenya. His efforts have extended beyond Kenya to Nigeria and other regions outside of Africa. “I’ve hugely enjoyed my time with CarePay and I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved, most significantly growing our proposition with an amazing team,” says Maarten. “My experience with CarePay, both in Kenya and the Netherlands, has been characterized by rapid growth and transformation. I’m now looking to stay with CarePay on a more fractional level as an Advisor and take some time out before starting the next chapter.” Kees van Lede, CEO of CarePay, adds: “We’re incredibly thankful to Maarten for his 7 years of hard work and dedication. It’s been a fun and rewarding adventure growing the business internationally, making our teams more professional, and having Maarten as a leader.
