During our release event in collaboration with PUMA at Café Baskèts last Saturday, we unveiled our updated food and drinks menu, featuring a limited-edition special peach juice and sandwich completely in PUMA Palermo style. The partnership between New Optimist and Baskèts Stores has emerged from a shared love for Amsterdam and local craftsmanship. Together, we strive to create high-quality, durable products that truly align with the unique vibe of Amsterdam. At Baskèts, we are always on the lookout for brands with a compelling story, and New Optimist fits perfectly into that narrative. In collaboration with New Optimist, we have created an atmosphere where our shared values come to life. The New Optimist x Baskèts collection is the result of an inspiring collaboration where both brands blend their unique styles. This capsule collection consists of a denim suit, a hoodie, a sweater, a T-shirt, and a cozy jacket. The core message of New Optimist is also reflected in this collection: ‘Spread your optimism. Wear it.’ You’ll find circular design principles in every detail, right down to the 100% organic cotton labels. The collection has a handmade look, showcasing the craftsmanship prominently. This is evident in the raw edges, which highlight how the clothing has been made with care and attention to detail. We are excited to announce that we have welcomed C.P. Company to our brand family! C.P. Company was founded in Italy in 1971 by Massimo Osti and quickly gained popularity due to its unique interpretation of functional men's wardrobe classics. At Baskèts, we have always admired their vision to create military-inspired outerwear with innovative fabrics. In our first season as a retail partner, we tapped into C.P. Company’s unique fabrication across their collection including utility overshirts, knitwear, goggle zipped hoodies, lens sleeve sweatshirts, and nylon bags. Find the new C.P. After 13 successful years in the retail industry, Baskèts proudly announces the opening of their very first retail café, Café Baskèts. Located in the vibrant heart of De Pijp, Café Baskèts opened its door to the public on Monday, December 11. Café Baskèts promises to be a unique destination where fashion and taste embrace each other, and where clothing, design, and coffee merge into a place where everyone can walk in for a break in an oasis of design and coziness. Born out of the success of the Baskèts stores in Amsterdam, this new destination offers a harmonious balance between fashion, design, and the art of coffee, delicious sandwiches, and 'must-try' juices. Café Baskèts welcomes guests to enjoy a carefully curated interior with brands such as Vitra, HAY, Smeg Group, and Table du Sud. The café experience is enhanced by the collaboration with Lot 61 Coffee Roasters for high-quality coffee. The matcha comes from NEKOHAMA, the world's first premium and organic matcha from Kyushu, Japan. For our signature sandwiches, we exclusively use Japanese white milk bread from Bakkerij Kaandorp , exclusively made for us locally in Amsterdam North. The menu includes filet americain from Hergo in the south, a signature BLTC, fresh salmon, and a vegetarian option with artichoke. Something for everyone. We are excited to announce that we’ve collaborated with The Hoxton for the opening of their brand new Hoxton Lloyd hotel in Amsterdam East, which brings a touch of extra elegance to this vibrant neighbourhood. For the opening of the Hoxton Lloyd hotel we designed a graphic t-shirt and tote bag, available at the Lloyd Hoxton hotel and at www.baskets-store.com. Besides, we had the honour to be the first guest at their Lloyd Hotel to shoot the Baskèts Fall editorial. Let us take you on a journey through the old Lloyd hotel, which is completely immersed in the Hoxton style. Rooms filled with design elements, art from local artists, and the warm atmosphere the Hoxton is so famous for. The looks for this Fall editorial are carefully curated with the latest collections from brands such as Carne Corp / Carne Bollente, Libertine-Libertine, PAL sportinggoods, Reception, and more available in our stores and online.
