#MySelfcareChallenge Day 23: Learn a new skill or hobby. Dedicate at least 30 minutes to learning something new, maybe a skill or hobby. This could be anything that piques your interest – a new language, a historical period, or a creative skill like photography or painting. Investing time on a new skill or hobby can boost cognitive function, reduce stress, and bring joy. To get started, explore online platforms offering that offer free courses, tutorials, and educational content. You could also consider enrolling in a local class or workshop. #SelfCare #SelfcareMonth #NLCC #CancerCare #Wellness #Lifestyle

#MySelfcareChallenge Day 22: Snack healthy. Snack smart with healthy options like nuts or fruit. Healthy snacks provide essential nutrients, keep you energized, and prevent overeating. They can help maintain stable blood sugar levels and support overall health. Choose snacks that are high in vitamins, minerals, and fiber to keep you feeling full and satisfied between meals. Consider including fruits high in water content (watermelon, pineapple, cucumber) to keep your body hydrated all through the day #SelfCare #SelfcareMonth #NLCC #CancerCare #Wellness #Lifestyle #HealthyEating #HealthyDiet

Soursop, also known as graviola, is a delight to your taste buds and a powerhouse of health benefits. A single soursop fruit can provide up to 215% of your daily vitamin C needs, supporting a robust immune system. It is loaded with antioxidants like phytosterols, tannins, and flavonoids that help reduce inflammation and neutralize harmful free radicals, potentially protecting against a variety of health conditions. It's high potassium content helps stabilize blood pressure, which is crucial for preventing heart disease and heart attacks. Some studies suggest that soursop may have anti-carcinogenic effects. Extracts from the fruit have been found to reduce the size of breast cancer tumors and inhibit the formation of leukemia cells in laboratory settings. It's mineral contents like phosphorus and calcium are vital for maintaining strong bones and preventing conditions like osteoporosis. Soursops can be scooped and eaten raw, or blended into smoothies, beverages, and ice cream. Their leaves can also be used to make tea which has a soothing effect. As you savor the unique flavor of soursop, remember that you’re not just treating your palate—you’re nourishing your body with a fruit that’s as beneficial as it is delicious. #SuperfoodSunday #Soursop #Superfood #HealthyEating #CancerDiet #Healthyliving #NLCC

*#MySelfcareChallenge Day 21: Protect your skin.* Make your skin health a priority. Reapply every two hours, especially if you are swimming or sweating. -Avoid the sun during the middle of the day. #MySelfcareChallenge Day 20: Choose a positive affirmation that resonates with you. Positive affirmations can be powerful tools for self-compassion and motivation. Repeating a statement like "I am strong," "I am capable," or "I am worthy" can shift your mindset and bolster your inner strength. Repeat it to yourself throughout the day, especially during challenging moments. #Selfcare #SelfcareMonth #Wellbeing #Lifestyle #Affirmations

#MySelfcareChallenge Day 19: Stay off social media for an entire day. Social media can be a valuable tool for connecting with others and staying informed. However, constant exposure can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, and even comparison. Today, challenge yourself to take a digital break and disconnect from social media for a day. Unplugging can reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance mental clarity. A day away from screens can do wonders for your well-being. To make the most of this digital break, contact friends and family in person, or over the phone. Try out a new routine, like reading a book, or taking a course to enhance your skill set. #SelfCare #SelfcareMonth #NLCC #CancerCare #Wellness #Lifestyle #friendship

#MySelfcareChallenge Day 18: Write a thank-you letter to someone. Today, write a thank-you letter to someone who has made a positive impact on your life. This could be a friend, family member, colleague, mentor, or anyone who deserves recognition. Expressing your gratitude strengthens relationships and fosters feelings of happiness for both yourself and the recipient. Reflect on the positive influence this person has had on you, and use the letter to express your sincere appreciation. Handwritten notes hold a special sentiment, but a thoughtful email can also be a meaningful way to share your gratitude. Taking the time to express your thanks can brighten someone's day and contribute to your overall well-being. #SelfCare #SelfcareMonth #NLCC #CancerCare #Wellness #Lifestyle #Gratitude
