Levetta Jean Moseley (Jean), age 87, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, surrounded by her children. Jean was born December 25,1936 in Thomas, Oklahoma. Jean was a life-long teacher of young children, primarily grades K-2, having taught 40 years. After retirement, Jean spent her last 26 years in Oklahoma City. Jean was one of two children, Jean and Fred Linville, to Owen and Lora Linville of Putnam, Oklahoma. Jean was married for 49 years to John Moseley who preceded her in death in 2008.
She is survived by two children, Jeff Moseley (Nashville, TN) and Jonel Moseley (Aurora, CO), and three grandchildren, Brette Moseley (Nashville, TN), Tre Moseley (Alexandria, VA) and Michael Moseley (Nashville, TN).
Jean dedicated her life to Christ by teaching young children and offering hospitality to all. Loved deeply, Jean will be missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday, July 13, 2024, in the chapel at Council Road Baptist Church. To share condolences or read the full obituary, visit www.mercer-adams.com.
