Indie Rock/Pop-Punk/Goth-pop band Pale Waves were in Boston Friday at House of Blues. Touring in the US now from their origin in Manchester, England, they put down a great set to open for PVRIS. Although the influence of bands of the 80’s and 90’s alternative rock and post-punk periods is evident, Pale Waves has a sound that both brings these bands to mind but also achieves a unique sound.

Heather Baron-Gracie is the front woman, vocalist and guitarist. She is joined by Ciara Doran on Drums, Guitarist, Huge Silvani and Bassist, Charlie Wood. Heather with her Goth inspired attire and confident, command of the stage draws your attention and creates a certain mood that adds perfectly to the music.

The set included some of their earlier work such as She’s My Religion, and Easy but also introduced the concert goers to music from their upcoming album Smitten to be released in September including the single Perfume which definitely has that 90’s inspired sound.

This is a band to watch and to check out now.
