Renowned guitar virtuoso John 5 has just released a new track, “A Hollywood Story,” offering fans an intimate look into his extraordinary life and career. The song, accompanied by a visually striking music video, chronicles John 5’s journey from a young boy discovering his first guitar to becoming one of the most celebrated musicians in the rock and metal scene.
John 5, known for his collaborations with legendary artists like Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and Rob Halford, and currently performing with Mötley Crüe, reflects on his career in “A Hollywood Story.” He shares, “When you’re a little kid, in your room, dreaming of your future, I never could’ve dreamt of what has happened to me in real life. I’m so appreciative and so happy. So go after your dreams whatever they may be.”
Fans can stream “A Hollywood Story” and watch the accompanying video online now. The new release follows his instrumental masterpiece “The Ghost,” which came out last October.
In addition to this release, John 5 has announced new tour dates for the fall of 2024. The Strung Out Tour, featuring special guest Turning Jane, will kick off on September 1 in Boston, MA at City Winery, followed by a 9/2 show at Wally’s in Hampton Beach. The tour includes stops across the United States and Canada, concluding on October 24 in Novato, CA. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, June 14.
John 5 will also continue to tour with Mötley Crüe throughout 2024, performing at major festivals including Summerfest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock.
