Both dramas show young love, where one of the leads has an unrequited love for the other since they were students

Their love is not mutual at first, however, as the story goes, they open up and start loving each other

both show school days and dramas too

The storyline and romance does take time to develop. They both have amazing character development from the male leads. I also feel (in my opinion) that the relationship and character developments were natural and organic. They actually interact with one another more than once!

Both female leads are naive at times, but over time you can't help but love them. We also can see both male lead's emotions throughout the series (how they feel with not only the female lead, but how they feel in certain situations).

romance between the main leads give the same feel. both ml are really handsome, mature and yet goofy and female leads are more brainy. although in hidden love female lead was the one to fall in love first but ml fell harder like in sunjae

In both series the ML met the FL when she was young. Having to face the struggles of life alone, both ML find solace in the FL through her words, gestures, company, and personality per sé.
In 25,21, they started as friends. In Hidden Love, they started like big brother-little sister.
In both series, there’s a physical separation until they meet again as adults. Then romance will blossom after some time and realizations.

In both dramas the protagonists have known each other since childhood and have harbored love over the years.

- Both knew each other from when they were younger. In Exclusive Fairytale, they grew up together. While in Hidden Love, the FL met him while she was in school.
- Both shows have total green flags in the leads. They give similar vibes.
- Both are sort of friends to lovers. In Hidden Love, at first the ML treats her as his sister, that then turns to love, while Exclusive Fairytale, both the leads treat each other as siblings in the beginning but then the ML realizes he wants something more.
- Both shows.. once the couple gets together they don't break up, and are overall just the cutest...

I don't know what else to tell ya, these shows just give off a similar vibe to one another. If you like one, I recommend trying the other.

Beautiful love story. Their age difference is 5 years and the story of how their love/relationship progresses has been greatly done. It is also an adaptation of a novel.

Both stories portray the innocence of first love. The pacing of both the stories are similar. The romance develops at a comfortable and beautiful manner. No unnecessary drama or negativity. Interpersonal relationships between all the different characters are beautiful and adds more depth to the story. Amazing job by the entire cast and team.

While watching Hidden Love it kinda reminded me Where the Lost Ones Go so here are some similarities in these two:
- First love
- Meets again after few years
- Modern chinese drama
- School-based
- Slow paced

In both dramas FL and ML share age gap. And in both drama it's FL who fall in love with ML at first sight and try to pursue him. Although Hidden love focused over School, college I mean students life . Meanwhile Go go squid never focused over student life since it's an eSports drama. Both dramas can be considered decent modern sweet romance . If you like any of them you shouldn't miss the other one. Both are sweet. Don't miss any of them if you are a sweet lover like me.

Go go Squid is funnier and a lot of comedy senses .
Hidden love doesn't contain that much humor. It's a serious romance drama than a romcom. But both dramas are sweet

Synopsis

The drama tells the story of how an ordinary girl Xia Guo chooses when faced with two different choices, and what happens. The drama is presented in parallel time and space. The different choices of the heroine will lead to different endings. There are the challenges and dilemmas of the big city; but on the other hand, there is the stability and triviality of the small town. In life it is always necessary to make concessions, without fear of loss, and moving forward to embrace that sense of the "extraordinary." If life could have other versions, and the "if" could be experienced, what would it look like? The drama realizes this "if" so that the heroine experiences two lives in parallel. How she will handle those choices is the big question.

"I live elsewhere" (from original title in chinese).

The story isn't similar but both of them have the same relaxed vibe with two main character who know how to communicate like grown-ups.
