Today is history September 11th. What is your prayer, story or comment for today. I was in Washington DC the day of the attacks living not far from the Pentagon working. It will be remain in my mind for forever. We were in a meeting and someone abruptly came in and gave the announcement about the attacks. Needless to say everything went silent at that moment.

I am distraught by how many people have forgotten or show indifference regarding 9/11. Also grieving me is how divided this nation has become since those attacks. It should have united us but seems to have had the opposite effect. I am in need of being around like minded people today, but there are no events in my town and barely even a mention of it in the newspaper. Everyone said, "Never Forget" but never seems to be only a few years. My prayers are with all of those who lost somebody that day and my heart and prayers are with the valiant troops who have kept our shores safe since that fateful day. Please forgive me for being rather negative, but my heart is sad. Thank you.

Kate, you are Right. This should have been slashed over headline all over the Nation.
The September 11 attacks (also referred to as September 11, September 11th, or 9/11 were a series of four coordinated suicide attacks upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C. areas on September 11, 2001. On that Tuesday morning, 19 terrorists from the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda hijacked four passenger jets. The hijackers intentionally flew two of those planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center complex in New York City; both towers collapsed within two hours. The hijackers also intentionally crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and intended to pilot the fourth hijacked jet, United Airlines Flight 93, into the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.; however, the plane crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after its passengers attempted to take control of the jet from the hijackers. Nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks, including all 227 civilians and 19 hijackers aboard the four planes.

I cannot forget it. Its a very sad day every year i cry and pray throughout that day. The Heavens were opened and God's Angels were given assignment and did save many lives that day. May all the broken-hearts be mended and strengthened. Pray everyone with cancers now be given Medical Care. And that people continue to protect our Nation. One Nation, Under God. With Liberty and Justice. Preach the Word of God and open blind eyes to know the Living God. Adonai, Eloheim, through Jesus our Savior. amen

Thank you both. It is good to know there are people out there who do remember. Pokie, I am sorry you were so close to it. May America once again be UNITED under GOD.
