Project Manager - Global Banking & Markets

Purpose

Lead, supervise and ensure that business strategies, plans and initiatives are carried out or complied with in accordance with current internal regulations, policies and procedures. The focus of the Project Manager is to support the GCM Business Area (PAC & Mexico) and Dir Transformacion Gbm Latam to coordinate with the GBM Business Transformation stakeholders and staff (e.g., PMO Support Analyst, Product Owners, Business Analysts, etc.) to prepare project status reports across the utilizing best practices around enterprise PMO and GBM PMO. In charge of budget and expense. Assist on resource and vendor management processes.


Responsibilities


Project Management


  • Accountable to produce Project Planning, Execution and Monitoring of assigned projects.
  • Responsible to meet the Key Performance indicators (KPI’s) of assigned Projects in terms of Scope, Schedule, and Cost of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate group meetings (i.e. Steering Committee, Leadership Review, Working groups, PAC) to communicate status report, budget execution, and raise risks or issues on a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clear control of Projects, Resources, Budget, and Expense within the institutional GCM systems (CA PPM – Clarity, BCT)
  • Liaise and coordinate with project stakeholders to gather and consolidate information for project status reporting (e.g., RAG, issues, actions, milestones, etc.)
  • In charge of coordinating budgeting and expense (size, track, record, reporting).
  • Assist to GCM Business with general coordination of project related activities.
  • Support to the GBM Business Transformation Strategy and Budget Controller in meetings even as speaker if needed.

Resource management


  • Update reports of budget and expense execution in a monthly basis
  • Maintain updated the GCM tools (CA PPM – Clarity) and systems for timesheet recording.
  • Maintain an updated report of actual expense and forecast by project and a consolidated report including the entire portfolio.

Vendor Management


  • Coordinate the supply management in all the stages: Requests, Purchase Orders, Reception, Payment, and MI reporting using the institutional tools and systems.
  • Strong skills of contracts negotiation.
  • Strong skills to support in coordination of the vendor management process with the involved areas (i.e., acquisitions, tax, legal).

Reporting


  • Collect and aggregate status reports from work streams in Mexico and PAC countries for thorough review of progress and issues
  • Collect and aggregate status reports from Latam workstreams
  • Prepare and distribute status report for the group meetings in Mexico and PAC countries.
  • Maintain updated the projects status report for the group meetings in Mexico and PAC countries.
  • Develop the Project Management dashboard for MI and analysis of projects progress, budget, expense, effort, resources and other business information requirements.
  • Work actively to maintain an updated set of reports in the PMO institutional Sharepoint in Mexico and PAC countries.

PMO Process improvement


  • Work with Divisional PMO to develop internal tools to aid Project Management operations in Mexico and PAC countries.
  • Develop reporting tools in innovative sites or dashboards to enhance collaborative environment in Mexico and PAC countries.
  • Build strong and long-term relationships with business stakeholders and support areas in Mexico and PAC countries.
  • Lead and drive a customer-centric culture for the entire team in order to deepen customer relationships and take advantage of the Bank's extensive relationships, as well as its systems and knowledge.
  • Creates an environment where your team performs efficient and effective operations in their respective areas, while ensuring compliance and effectiveness of daily business controls in order to comply with obligations aimed at reducing operational risk, the risk of regulatory noncompliance, the risk of money laundering and financing of terrorism and conduct risk, which include the responsibilities established under the Operational Risk Management Framework, the Risk Management Framework for Regulatory Compliance, the International Manual Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

  • Run disciplined process for collecting, raising, escalating, and resolving risks and issues.


Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical subject (preferably with technological and/or operations background)
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Bonus points: Experience using project management systems and supply management systems: Coupa, Icertis, Easytool, etc.
  • Bonus points: Experience in financial markets
