Viva Aerobus is currently searching for a Product Owner based at the corporate headquarters in Mexico City.


The Product Owner is a key member of the Ecommerce team and defines the value proposition for the assigned products. This role requires a deep understanding of the needs and requests of various stakeholders (both internal and external) and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The Product Lead Manager will be responsible for communicating the vision and addressing pain points with different team members, ensuring detailed oversight from inception to completion of each task to guarantee timely and proper delivery. Is accountable for defining deliverables, ensuring their quality, and maximizing the return on investment for all initiatives undertaken. This role involves proposing and implementing enhancements and features for digital experiences on the web, app, and other digital products, leveraging deep knowledge of digital technologies to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.


His or her primary objectives include:

  • Product Maturity Roadmap: Collaborate in the definition of the product maturity roadmap, ensuring digital products evolve to meet changing market demands and technological advancements.
  • Enhance and Simplify User Experience: Improve and streamline the user experience by offering a responsive, fast, and well-integrated digital experience across all Viva products, including web, app, and other digital platforms.
  • Market-Based Product Strategies: Formulate and implement product strategies grounded in thorough market analysis to ensure competitive positioning and alignment with customer needs.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Utilize insights from digital analytics and customer surveys to identify and implement continuous improvements to the digital products under your responsibility.
  • Market Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of the market through customer interviews, market research, competitive analysis, and usability testing to inform product development and enhancements.
  • Launch New Features in Web and App for the products portfolio: Identify, develop, and successfully launch new features across the airline’s web and app platforms, enhancing functionality and user engagement to meet evolving customer expectations.
  • Optimize Digital Experience Design: Redesign and optimize the digital experience for users, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and responsive interface that improves customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Increase User Engagement and Retention: Implement strategies and features that drive higher user engagement and retention rates, leveraging data analytics to monitor performance and make informed adjustments.
  • Enhance Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish a robust framework for utilizing digital analytics and customer feedback to guide product development, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with market trends and customer needs.


The Candidate:

  • 2-3+ years’ experience as a product lead or owner leading the implementation of features and capabilities for digital channels. Airline experience is a plus.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker and a hands-on.
  • Describing user storys and acceptance criteria for the develop of digital products
  • Detail and process-oriented leader, able to partner with technical and no-technical stakeholders and partners to understand user needs and translate needs into technical requirements.
  • Skilled in demonstrating innovation and creativity by continually improving digital experience
  • Strong problem solving/analytical skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Able to work in a dynamic organization by balancing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Jira, roadmaps & product backlogs
  • Interpretation of product success using data to make business decisions (Google Analytics, Tableau, heatmaps, etc.).
  • Effective presentation skills for communicating the strategic story behind de products
  • +1 year experience of ecommerce plattforms
  • Experience in developing digital products in collaboration with technology, UX/UI, and content teams, ensuring the translation of requirements, description of user stories, and definition of acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Agile or lean.
  • Proficient in English is a must
