Logistics Junior Manager

Your Tasks

Role Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the performance of our warehouse and distribution teams / vendors, ensuring they align with our overall company objectives. Manage daily operations, drive efficiency and uphold our commitment to service excellence.

Main Accountabilities

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of strategic plans, optimize logistics processes, reduce costs and improve efficiency (continuous improvement projects), aligning team objectives with broader company goals. Adapt strategies in response to industry trends and operational challenges.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to logistics and supply chain management.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budgeting processes for our department, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with senior management and other key stakeholders to report on progress, highlight challenges, and recommend solutions.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance evaluations, setting clear metrics for success and providing constructive feedback.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Implement and oversee disciplinary procedures as required, maintaining fairness and compliance with internal and local regulations.
  • Team Management: Oversee the daily operations of the WH and Distribution teams. Monitor performance metrics and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure maximum productivity and quality of service.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage staff and interact with stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive team performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements in logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, transportation management systems)
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing conditions and operational challenges.
  • Mandatory FMCG experience
  • Excel Intermediate (Formulas and Pivot tables)
  • Preferred: PowerBI
  • English fluent.
