    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is Mauritius's portal to the world, playing a crucial role in unlocking partnerships, engaging development partners, and sharing Mauritius's values of hospitality, peace and good governance with the world. In my role as diplomat, I handled a series of high-level portfolios, focusing on environmental diplomacy, climate finance and sustainable development in Africa and for Small Island Developing States, particularly in terms of raising awareness on the ocean / blue economy and ocean governance.

    I also coordinated the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Trade, the foreign service's training and reflection platform, triggering dialogue and partnerships between the public and private sectors on emerging and complex issues such as digitalisation in Africa, climate finance, fisheries and sustainability in Mauritius, maritime security in the Indian Ocean and EU-Africa relations.

    • One Young World is a premiere platform for young people of leadership calibre, where they are able to interact with global and corporate leaders to find solutions to global issues. Having attended the 3rd OYW in Pittsburgh, PA, I used this platform to advocate for coral reefs and the marine environment (see video above).
