There have been plenty of highlight reel-worthy head kick knockouts in UFC history.
Some, like Leon Edwards’ win over Kamaru Usman or Holly Holm’s over Ronda Rousey – have been more important than others. But they’re all a thing of beauty.
Somehow, it’s been more than a dozen years since Edson Barboza unleashed one on Terry Etim in Las Vegas that may not have come in an important fight, but certainly is one that forever will live on UFC sizzle reels.
The UFC released a fifth compilation video featuring just the sounds of the fighters, the arena and the corners – no commentary – of some of the most famous moments in company history, including Barboza’s sickening knockout of Etim; Alex Pereira’s KO of Jamahal Hill right in front of Hill’s corner; Justin Gaethje’s head kick KO of Dustin Poirier; and many more.
