Peter Louis DeFalco

June 19, 1930 – July 4, 2024

Of Sawkill Ruby Road died at HealthAlliance Hospital on Thursday July 4, 2024, he was 94 years of age.  Born in Catskill, New York June 19, 1930, a son of the late Carmine and Mary (Fiume) DeFalco.

Peter served in The United States Army stationed in Trieste, Italy where he met his wife Dora during the conclusion of The Korean War. He was employed for over 25 years by The Kingston Hospital.

Peter had many hobbies but his most beloved were gardening and carpentry. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult projects around the house. He loved swimming and was a member of the YMCA since 1948 where he received a membership longevity award. He had many friends both new and old and enjoyed having long conversations. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years Dora (Russo) DeFalco.  His daughters Maria Scarselli and her husband John, and Nancy Poltorzycki.  Many Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. His brother Salvatore L DeFalco also predeceased him.
