Sawyer Motor Car Show

SAUGERTIES – Bob Siracusano and his team of community volunteers celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Sawyer Motors Car Show by filling the village with 500 classic cars on Sunday.

Cars in mint condition were polished to perfection and drew thousands of spectators.

The streets of the village were blocked to showcase a huge variety of vehicles from a 1932 Ford to a 2024 Dodge Challenger.

The fundraiser for local charities and people in need hopes to reach the show’s million-dollar fundraising mark over the past two decades. “There are a lot of different organizations we will be giving money to,” Siracusano said. He was hoping to give away $75,000 at the end of Sunday’s event.

Siracusano, the owner of Sawyer Chevrolet, said cars come from around the northeast and 10 of them were worth over $100,000. Not only does the event boost local charities, but many local restaurants and hotels also enjoy the fruits of the day.

Cars were carefully judged and 50 trophies were handed out at the end of the day.
