Roy Keane has named the England star who he believes could ‘probably’ get into every team in the world.

The bold statement comes as England prepare for Wednesday’s crunch Euro 2024 semi-final against the Netherlands.

Gareth Southgate’s side have flattered to deceive at various points throughout the tournament but now found themselves on the brink of their second successive European Championship final.

Having topped their group and squeaked past Slovakia and Switzerland in the first two knockout rounds, the Three Lions could set up a final against either France or Spain should they navigate the challenge of the Dutch in Dortmund.

In the quarter-finals, it was the performance of Bukayo Saka that made headlines, the Arsenal attacker finding a much-needed equaliser in normal time before slotting home his penalty in the shootout.

And Keane was keen to sing the praises of the 22-year-old who has played part of the tournament at left-back and, at times, faced calls to be dropped for Cole Palmer.

‘Bukayo Saka would get in probably every team in the world, obviously when he’s at the top of his game, Keane said on Stick to Football, brought to you by Sky Bet.

‘We talk about [Jude] Bellingham and all this… Saka has played a lot of football for a young kid, hasn’t he?

‘[There is] a lot of demands at Arsenal to be the top man week-in-week out, it’s not easy when you’re an attacking player.’

Keane’s former teammate, Gary Neville, added: ‘I think it’s really difficult to be universally popular, and I think he achieves that Saka.

‘I think Saka is someone who is popular with every fan. I don’t think there are any fans in the country who think ‘I’m not sure about Saka.

‘He’s loveable, as a person and the way he plays.’
