Although Pokimane has always been silent about her love life publicly, the YouTube content creator has revealed that she’s broken up with her long-term partner.
Streamer Pokimane has become famous for speaking her mind on all sorts of topics during her almost 10 year long tenure as one of Twitch’s most popular stars.
She didn’t hold back when she recently left Twitch for YouTube, saying she wanted to try something new and get away from ‘so much manosphere, red pill, bulls***’.
One subject she never discusses publicly, however, is her love life, but in a recent video Pokimane revealed that she is breaking up with her long-term partner, who may or may not be Kevin Kim.
‘I’ve never really talked about a breakup before, and because I don’t really date people in the public eye, it doesn’t really feel like it makes sense to either. But I felt like this one might be interesting to discuss for a couple reasons,’ Pokimane said.
She kept her relationship update brief and didn’t want to reveal who her ex-partner is or why they broke up.
‘Frankly, this breakup feels different than past ones. […] When you’re in your mid-to-late-twenties, and when you start envisioning a life with someone, speaking about marriage and kids, and really being in that headspace and planning for your future, and then all of that kind of dissolves, it’s a lot to process,’ she said.
Pokimane has done very well to hide her ex-partner’s identity, but some fans think it’s Kim, who first appeared on her stream back in 2021, when he jokingly said, ‘Dating or siblings?’
Despite not being a content creator himself, and with little other presence on the internet, the two were seen on stream together a handful of times, including making a joke contract to do a cooking show together.
Kim was also at Pokimane’s table during the 2023 Streamer Awards, which she pointed out in her vlog about the event, saying, ‘And there was a random, handsome man sat beside me.’
None of this proves Pokimane and Kim were dating, however, as they could just be friends.
Although she’s actively hidden this part of her life from her fans, in her most recent YouTube video Pokimane said that she wants to be more open about her life in the future.
