People say hard work doesn’t work anymore, but have they tried it?

A question I’ve been mulling over and over recently when I hear people talk about how awful it is to live in the United States. Maybe that’s one of those experiences inaccessible to me as an immigrant.

The one where we say how awful this country is and how nobody can make it anymore. Even though I have seen so many immigrants in this country, they still make it. For them “making it” means safety, security, freedom, and a roof over their heads. Maybe a different kind of “making it.”

That question, at the beginning, is one I have been afraid to verbalize because who wants to upset the masses for fun? I am afraid of trolls, even though I have yet to run into one. Maybe for all my talk of having a spine, I am still afraid of being canceled, and I’m not even in the limelight. I might be the first person to get canceled before getting started.

What does saying unpopular thoughts have to do with Vegas?

Nothing really.

Other than that, I don’t like Vegas.

There! I said it!!
