MCF’s commitment to website accessibility
At MCF we are committed to making our website, and the experience of using the website, as accessible as possible, across multiple devices.
It is our aim that everyone should be able to us use our website, no matter what your impairments and which technologies you use. To that end, the website and been designed and coded taking best practice web accessibility guidelines into account.

The BBC has developed a series of accessibility guides which provide step by step assistance on how to change your computer and browser settings in order for websites to be more accessible for you.

The MCF website supports the latest versions of the following browsers:
- Windows: Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer
- Mac OS X: Chrome, Firefox and Safari
- iOS: Safari and Chrome
- Android: Chrome
The following browsers are now out of date:
- Internet Explorer 11
- Safari 9
- Opera 34
If you are using the MCF website on an out of date browser, we recommend that you upgrade to the latest version or switch to a different browser like Chrome for a better experience.
All of MCF’s videos on the website are hosted on Youtube and embedded in the web page. By clicking on the video link you can add captions to the video natively in YouTube.
When links are added in text, we make sure that the link text clearly describes the destination of that link, so that you end up exactly where you expected.
The website has been designed to meet the WCAG 2.0 recommended colour contrast ratios, making the website easier to use and the text easier to read.
If you would like to change the colour of the background or text then you can do this natively in most browsers. The BBC guide shows you how to personalise your colours.
How accessible is the website?
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
– not all media will have a transcript or be subtitled
– some text may not reflow in a single column when you change the size of the browser window and at certain levels of magnification
– some older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
