That’s why we’ve elected to share our stories with anyone who’s willing to republish them, given the guidelines below.
Republishing Guidelines
Note: the following goes mostly for nonprofits and individuals, as well as partners we have republishing partnerships with. If you are a for profit entity, we appreciate you compensating us if possible, but we will determine the appropriateness of that on a case-by-case basis, so please do
contact us at hello@matternews.org if you are for profit and we can discuss.
Credit and link us
- At the top of the story, include the following: “Hyperlinked Original Headline was originally published by Matter News, a local news nonprofit in Columbus, Ohio.”
- Credit our reporter at the top of the page like this: By FirstName LastName
Editing allowances
- Only edit our stories to reflect references to the following items: time, as in “tomorrow” to “yesterday”, location, as in “Austin” to “here”, etc.
Include media
- Make sure to include all graphics or HTML embeds of our interactive graphics. If you need support transferring files, please send an email at hello@matternews.org.
Include links
- Include all links within the story if republishing online.
