You could buy two of these multi-stylers and still spend $80 less than if you bought a single Airwrap.

SAVE $20: You can snag a build-your-own kit of the Shark FlexStyle on the brand's website for $259.99 as of Oct. 24. That saves you 7% on the multi-styler's $279.99 price tag, and marks the lowest possible price of any FlexStyle configuration.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the Shark FlexStyle is hands down the best dupe for the Dyson Airwrap.

Value-wise, the more affordable multi-styler simply takes the cake. That's even more the case as of Oct. 24, as the build-your-own system of the Shark FlexStyle is on sale for just $259.99 at the brand's website. All in all, that's $20 off its usual $279.99 MSRP, and the absolute lowest price you can grab any Shark FlexStyle system for at the time of writing.

Even when it's not on sale, this particular FlexStyle system clocks in as the most affordable version of the FlexStyle because it comes with only three accessories and attachments, compared to the four that come with their standard straight and wavy hair or curly and coily hair systems.

However, you can choose exactly which three accessories you want out of 10 available options, including two different sizes of the auto-wrap curlers, a diffuser attachment, the new FrizzFighter finishing tool, and even a storage case.

Don't get me wrong; I get that part of multi-stylers' appeal is their versatility. However, as someone who's tested both the Airwrap and the FlexStyle, I can personally attest to the storage space these bad boys take up — so if you know which attachments you want, the build-your-own option is space- and money-saving. (Plus, you can use the FlexStyle as a normal dryer without any attachments, thanks to its twisting base mechanism).

So you have a sense of the numbers, allow me to break down the comparisons of your per-attachment costs. For the Airwrap, you get six included attachments at $600, or roughly $100 per attachment. With this FlexStyle on sale, you get three attachments for $259.99; that's $86.99 per attachment and $65 per if you factor in the attachment-less drying capability of the FlexStyle.

All in all, it's far more cost-effective, and — I cannot say this enough — basically the same exact tool as the Airwrap for a fraction of the cost.
