SPOTLIGHT—ARTIST JANE GOTTLIEB

You say you love color? But do you love color as much as Jane loves color?

Jane Gottlieb's color-filled art has been featured in Still Point Arts Quarterly and on our gallery pages many times over the years. She began as a painter and evolved into a photographer. Eventually, she began hand painting with vivid colors on individual Cibachrome prints, creating a wonderfully uplifting reality. These days Jane scans her one-of-a-kind hand-painted prints and enhances them with Photoshop to produce archival prints on aluminum, canvas, and paper.

Jane says "Color is luscious to me. It’s a luxury to be able to fill my life with color. Color is energy; it evokes emotions and feelings, and it makes you feel good—it really does pick you up, and suddenly you are smiling."

Jane does indeed fill her life with color. Take a look at her home in Santa Barbara, featured in this video.
