The collaboration between Deep Tropics and Virgin Hotels Nashville goes beyond the festival grounds. Throughout the weekend, attendees can expect an array of pop-up events and surprise programming at Virgin Hotels Nashville, further enhancing the overall festival experience and fostering a deeper connection between music and sustainability.

In addition to the festival weekend, Deep Tropics will host two lead-in ‘Waveclub’ parties at the hotel’s rooftop, The Pool Club. These pre-festival celebrations, taking place on July 1 and July 29 from 4 PM to 10 PM, will feature a reusable cup and zero-waste program, incorporating recycling and composting initiatives. By adopting these sustainable practices, Deep Tropics and Virgin Hotels Nashville aim to minimize their environmental impact and inspire a greener lifestyle among attendees.

Deep Tropics promises an exceptional experience with an outstanding lineup and captivating stage designs across three immersive stages: “Meru,” “Lotus,” and “Congo Soundsystem.” Renowned artists like SG Lewis, Gorgon City, LP Giobbi, Major League DJz, What So Not and plenty more are all poised to take the stage.

Entering its fifth year, part of what makes Deep Tropics so unique is their continual success of going beyond net zero by producing a climate positive event for the third year in a row. These efforts are fueled by their non-profit organization Deep Culture, Inc. Deep Culture recognizes the interconnectedness of environmental care, personal well-being, and community engagement, and seeks to foster a transformative vision that promotes self-discovery, stronger community and environmental connections, and interactive experiences for personal and collective growth. Through Deep Culture, Deep Tropics has successfully diverted the majority of festival waste from landfills and offset their carbon footprint through tree-planting initiatives. Their zero-waste program achieved a remarkable 93% waste diversion in 2022.

With a commitment to being net zero by 2030, sustainability remains a major focus for Virgin Hotels Nashville. As a part of this effort, the hotel actively measures how efficient their buildings are by using platforms focused on reducing their energy, water consumption, and carbon footprint. Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations is a guiding principle behind every decision the brand makes. Virgin Hotels Nashville’s achievement of LEED Silver certification further highlights these ongoing green efforts.

Deep Tropics x Virgin Hotels Nashville is a groundbreaking partnership that brings together two industry leaders in sustainability to create an unparalleled festival experience. By combining innovative programming, eco-conscious practices, and a passion for music, this collaboration sets a new standard for festivals and highlights the potential for harmonizing entertainment and environmental responsibility.
