Browser extensions supported by the library

THREE DIFFERENT BROWSER extensions, that can improve access to subscription resources provided by the library and to open access materials, are being made available for students and academics to try out and assess.

These extensions each provide a different style and method of resource discovery. The Lean Library and LibKey Nomad extensions focus on providing access to subscription-based library materials, while the Unpaywall extension offers a discovery route for open access materials.

Details of how each of these extensions work, and how they can be installed in a compatible browser, is provided below.

These browser extensions are recommended to students and academics who have administrative privileges on their own machines and devices.

The library recommends trying out each of these extensions separately to find the one that's the closest match to your discovery needs.
