Journal of Neurodevelopmental Disorders is pleased to present this second IDDRC special thematic series focused on white matter and neurodevelopmental disorders, in memory of Jean de Vellis (1935–2018).
This collection of articles is sponsored by the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Centers (IDDRCs) and articles have undergone the journal’s standard peer-review process. The Series Editors declare no competing interests.

Dr. Hazlett is a licensed psychologist with a background in child neuropsychology and with research interests in neurodevelopmental disorders.

Vittorio Gallo
Dr. Gallo’s research focuses on neural stem/progenitor cells and their potential for perinatal brain regeneration and repair after injury. He has extensively investigated injury in the developing white matter and uncovered new cellular and molecular mechanisms to promote protection and regeneration.
