Abstract
Ophthalmic ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to generate a two-dimensional topographic image of the eye. These two dimensional images are helpful in diagnosing a myriad of diseases involving the posterior segment . Works on the principle of acoustic impedence. Ultrasound B-scan is indicated in both clear and opaque ocular media. This chapter includes all the nuances of an ophthalmic ultrasound.
