Abstract
Violence and sex have been an irresistible fascination for art, literature and the media from the beginning until today – as a glance at the cave paintings in Lascaux or in Homer’s Iliad immediately shows. However, one is not always on the level of Homer or the early cave painting art when it comes to sex and violence, as recently demonstrated by the unspeakable, because in every sense of the word vulgar, case of Harvey Weinstein.
