Abstract
Complex trauma is a chronic form of trauma perpetrated on children. It includes emotional, physical or sexual abuse, neglect, medical trauma, and exposure to domestic or community violence or loss. National statistics demonstrate that 85% of the perpetrators are the child’s primary caretakers. Many of the child’s developmental domains are impacted as a result of these interpersonal traumatic events.
