Clinical Behavior Analysis for Children

Abstract

Ethical behaviors are culturally defined and may vary by context. In the context of psychotherapy, a set of ethical prescriptions are outlined in codes of conduct. The objective of this chapter is to present ethical recommendations in the context of clinical child psychotherapy present in normative documents of the area. The prescriptions were gathered in response categories, considering fundamental aspects for the development of the clinical work of the child therapist: (a) theoretical and technical aptitude, (b) action for the benefit of the child, (c) sharing information, (d) documents, and (e) multiprofessional relationship.
