Abstract

This chapter focuses on concepts in child development, including language and language development. We start with topics related to critical/sensitive periods and the important developmental question: To what extent are human behavior and mental processes due to nature and nurture? We end with some examples of moral reasoning. Examples of methods of testing children are found in the chapter on research methods and statistics.
