WHAT IS POPULAR OPINION LEADERS (POL)?

The goal of POL is:

• to increase understanding of HIV/STls
• to grow awareness of prevention methods, including PrEP
• to connect trans and gender diverse people to area resources and support

WHAT CRITERIA IS NEEDED TO TAKE PART?

A POL leader:

• has to be the age of 18 or older
• has a passion for supporting the health of trans and gender-diverse people®
• has ties to the community
• is fully aware of their HIV status

HOW LONG IS THE PROGRAM?

• This is a one-year program
• All selected candidates will receive training

IS THIS A PAID POSITION?

•  Yes, POL participants will be compensated
