Metro Police is cracking down on impaired driving in a focused effort this month, according to a news release.
Nightly through July 20, Metro will dedicate extra officers specifically looking for drivers under the influence, an effort funded by the Nevada Department of Public Safety/Officer of Traffic Safety.
The department reminds residents to make plan to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or marijuana.
The goal is to save lives by increasing public awareness about the dangers of making poor choices while driving, the release stated.
