The service provides fully managed, persistent, network-attached NFS storage volumes and is adapted to the vast majority of Public Cloud usages and resources (instances, containers...): on-demand, elastic (scale up/down) and managed.

  • Use Cases

    • shared files, home directories
    • persistant read-write-many storage 
    • web apps, content management, AI and analytics, back-up, configuration

  • Storage class details

    • Linear performance allocation: 4 IOPS/GB. If a volume is resized, performance is updated in consequence.
    • NetApp ONTAP and OpenStack Manila CSI
    • Public Network access limited to OVHcloud IP ranges
    • NFSv3 support

  • Volume details

    • Minimum volume size: 250GB
    • Maximum volume size:
      • Beta: 2TB max per volume
      • GA: 29TB max per volume

How does it work?

You are used to Infra-as-Code (IaC) approach?

Use the following APIs to provision, orchestrate and deploy your volumes:

  • OpenStack Manila APIs are available to manage ACL, snapshots, upscale/downscale your volume and mount it to your VMs >> Manila wiki or Manila Docs

  • CSI driver to orchestrate your infrastructure at scale with Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) and Persistent Volume (PV) usage >> Manila CSI Docs

Known limitations

During the Alpha and Beta programs, the service will come with the following limitations:

  • max capacity per volume: 2TB
  • service only available in SBG region
