New aircraft in the fleet! A new Airbus A320neo has landed in Astana, arriving directly from the manufacturing plant in Toulouse. This is the 47th aircraft of the Airbus family in the airline’s fleet, and in total the Air Astana group now has 54 aircraft. What planes have you flown on?

Air Astana contributes to early diagnosis of cancer in Kazakhstan In order to implement the roadmap of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the development of nuclear medicine in the country, Air Astana has begun transporting radiopharmaceuticals (RPs). These drugs are necessary for the early diagnosis of cancer and assessment of the effectiveness of treatment. For the safe transportation of radiopharmaceuticals, the airline carried out extensive preparatory work, including obtaining a special license, training personnel, purchasing the necessary equipment for monitoring and developing procedures. The first drug approved for transportation was fluorodeoxyglucose - 18F, which will be transported on domestic flights in special containers in luggage compartments in strict accordance with international and national safety regulations. The implementation of this social project has already proven its effectiveness, and we hope that the transportation of radiopharmaceuticals by air will have a positive effect on improving the rates of early diagnosis and recovery of patients in the initial stages of cancer. Transportation of radiopharmaceuticals is completely safe for passengers, cargo and luggage.

The best training programme Air Astana was awarded the “Most Innovative Education/Training Programme" by the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan. The ab-initio pilot training programme, the aviation mechanics training programme and the opening of the crew training centre in Astana, equipped with modern simulators for practising emergency rescue procedures, were highly appreciated.  This award confirms the airline's commitment to the principles of ESG, including the provision of quality education, gender equality and the creation of decent working conditions.

Air Astana took part in the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Exhibition (WTCE). As part of the exhibition, winner awards were issued for Onboard Hospitality, PAX International Readership and TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards. The Kazakhstani airline received numerous awards for its economy amenity kits, children's amenity kits and onboard service.
