On July 2, as part of the Drone Camp organized by Drone Tech Center Astana Hub and AARDVARK, Ivan Biriuk, founder and CTO of Cyberdrone Drone Shows, delivered a speech. Drone Camp is an intensive program for those interested in drone technology and is particularly useful for beginners. Ivan shared his expertise, starting with the history of founding his company, which is based on the drone show technology he developed. He explained what a drone show is as an application of drone technology, its technical features, and described each stage of the show preparation in detail. Ivan also discussed what goes on behind the scenes of a show - from the team of professionals and their skills to the software and organizational aspects. Additionally, he touched on the nuances of producing and perfecting this technology. We are confident that this information was useful not only to beginners but to anyone passionate about drone technology. 🚀 #training #DroneCamp2024 #DroneTech #Cyberdrone #DroneTechnology #DroneShow #TechConference #Innovation #DroneEnthusiasts #TechTalk #UAV #DroneCommunity #TechInnovation #Drones #DroneEvent #TechKnowledge #BeginnerDrones #FutureTech

In recent months, we've been focusing on developing unmanned aircraft systems at the Smart City research center at Astana IT University, thanks to Zarina Kutpanova, Bolatzhan Kumalakov, and Nurkhat Zhakiyev. Our primary goal is to conduct research in various domains using drones, but also to provide drone flight training and explore their business applications. Last May, during the 2024 IEEE 4th International Conference on Smart Information Systems and Technologies, we officially opened a UAV Center at the university with our partners, AARDVARK and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). This center is where we're concentrating most of our efforts in this field. I want to thank AARDVARK for their consistent support in this endeavor and for their assistance in training our staff. The team, led by Dmitrii Ivanov, is highly experienced in conducting precise, reliable, and safe surveys and inspections using drones. They specialize in rapid deployment, safety, and cost-effectiveness across various applications such as inspection, surveying, security patrols, agricultural and infrastructure mapping, drone delivery, and flight training. Some photos from our recent activities are included.

A Dream Come True Yesterday was a fantastic day for our drone community in Astana. We hosted a picnic at an actual airfield for our Drone Camp, launched by Drone Tech Center in collaboration with AARDVARK and Astana Hub this week. Over 120 people registered, and more than 50 attended in person. The event featured an agricultural drone showcase, a drone piloting masterclass, photos with airplanes, and delicious plov. I had long dreamed of organizing a drone festival, and unexpectedly, we created an MVP of it in just one day. Onward and upward! Big thanks to all people who supported us and took part in this event - Astana Hub, Школа образовательной робототехники "Роботек", Astana IT University, Skyworker, TechnoWomen Non-Profit Organizations Kazakhstan, Zholaman airfield and many others. Our dream team on the photo - more photos from the event are coming soon. Excited to see the news about NITEC signing an agreement with the government of Sierra Leone! Believe it, or not - this is also great news for us at AARDVARK LLP. During Digital Almaty 2024, organized by Tech Garden we introduced to the Minister of Communications, Technology, and Innovation, Salima Bah our company’s activities. She showed significant interest, and we agreed to continue discussions beyond the event. We look forward to collaborating with our colleagues at the Ministry of digital development, aerospace and industry and NITEC particularly in our drone support and training programs being launched at Astana Hub. #Innovation #Technology #DigitalAlmaty2024 #TechGarden #Aardvark #SierraLeone #Nitec #AstanaHub #DroneTechnology #Collaboration #TechPartnership #DigitalTransformation #TechTraining #GlobalTech #Industry4.0

Today we launched a series of meetups at the Drone Tech Center together with AARDVARK LLP and Astana Hub, starting with an event focused on agricultural drones. The presentation by experts from Skyworker was filled with valuable insights, covering the latest developments and applications of agrodrones in agriculture. Participants also discussed the future prospects and challenges of this technology. Interestingly, Kazakhstan ranks 104th in the world in terms of crop yield, with an average of 1.27 tons per hectare. For comparison, Afghanistan has an average yield of 2.13 t/ha, Uzbekistan 4.99 t/ha, and China 5.86 t/ha. While drones are just one part of the solution, they are an integral component of Smart Agriculture. Our next meetup will be in a few weeks. Todays goal is to analyze the feedback and prepare an even more engaging event to provide participants with a unique experience and valuable new knowledge. #AgriTech #Drones #SmartAgriculture #AstanaHub #DroneTech #AgricultureInnovation #Meetup #Kazakhstan #TechCommunity

The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Национальная палата предпринимателей РК "Атамекен" hosted a roundtable dedicated to the discussion of existing problems and prospects for the development of the drone market in Kazakhstan. The event was attended by representatives of the business community, scientific organizations and authorized bodies, who were part of the working group formed to develop a systematic approach to the development of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Dmitrii Ivanov, Chairman of the Unmanned Aviation Committee of the Civil Aviation Association, Head of Drone Tech Center in Astana Hub, Director of AARDVARK LLP, noted the need to develop a mechanism to regulate government procurement, in the context of controlling the legal importation of drones through official distributors. Conscientious companies bear the financial costs, comply with the requirements for accounting, registration and customs clearance, but often as a result of government procurement, orders are placed with companies that do not always comply with the rules, which can create a negative impression of the market. This is not the only problem that I and other participants shared at the meeting, but for me, the opportunity to speak out and (hopefully) be heard was significant. As noted in the article, one of the key problems in the industry is the lack of analytics and data from the market. The drone industry in Kazakhstan is still very conservative and "not public". The task of such events is to open the industry for those interested in its development. But the most interesting and difficult things are still ahead of us because we can affect how the drone industry of Kazakhstan will change in the future! Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan

The solution of AARDVARK LLP was selected as one of the promising ones within the framework of the ERG Eurasian Resources Group case championship. During the second stage of selection, our team visited the Aktobe Ferroalloys Plant, a branch of TNK "Kazchrome," which is part of ERG. We had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the cases that the enterprise needs solutions for, meet with company specialists, and other participants of the case championship. On May 24th, our team will participate in the "Industrial IT Forum: case championship and best practices of digital solutions for mining and metallurgical complex," where we will have the opportunity to compete for the main prize - a contract for the implementation of our presented IT solution! We express our special thanks to the management of the plant for organizing the tour. In this format, we are getting acquainted for the first time with the real optimization tasks faced by metallurgical producers. As part of the competition, we will offer our solutions to the cases identified by the plant as priority ones. We thank the group of companies ERG for organizing this event and Astana Hub for the invitation to participate!
