HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CALIF. — Pro-Palestine protesters have occupied Siemens Hall at Cal Poly Humboldt.
KRCR reporter Rudy Aguado is at the scene, he says that hundreds of people are currently in the hall, waving Palestinian flags emblazoned with phrases such as "Stop The Genocide".
University Police, as well as members of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, Arcata Police, and Fortuna Police are at the scene.
The front entrance to the hall appears to have been barricaded by various pieces of furniture.
No word yet on if anyone has been injured, or if a specific group is behind the protest.
This is one of multiple protests which have broken out recently in regards to Israel's repeated attacks on Gaza. Campuses at Yale, Columbia, and UC Berkeley have seen similar demonstrations.
The organization "Humboldt for Palestine" says that as of 8:30 p.m. students have been arrested, though this is not yet confirmed with University Police.
