AE Brands Korea (“AEBK”) is part of Asahi AEI’s Asia Business Unit and is responsible for the growth of the Group’s European Brands (Pilsner Urquell · Kozel · Peroni Nastro Azzurro · Grolsch Premium Pilsner) in South Korea.

Key Responsibilities:

The Head of Off-Trade is to lead and optimize the off-trade division of our South Korea business unit, ensuring the company products are strategically positioned, widely available, and consistently meet customer demands at Off-trade channels.


By formulating and executing innovative sales strategies, fostering strong relationships with Off-trade partners, and leveraging market insights, this role will drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance the brand's visibility and reputation in the off-trade sector. It will also focus on operational excellence, effective team management, and continuous improvement to achieve and exceed sales targets while maintaining profitability and building long-term sustainable partnerships.


Your key roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies based on market insights and sales targets.
  • Formulate detailed and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts based on proper data analysis.
  • Set effective sales targets in line with business goals and ensure buy-in and collective efforts from the Sales Team Members.
  • Lead Off-trade sales team members to achieve or even try to exceed the sales targets and deliver profitable growth.
  • Lead embedding JBP with customers.
  • Lead demand forecast and planning as a part of the S&OP processes.
  • Determine, monitor, and analyze Key Performance Indicators and constantly propose improvements.
  • Plan, control, and manage the budget efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure pricing and trade terms are on-strategy and constantly seek opportunities and improvement areas.
  • Optimize resource investment across Off-trade channels/customers/territories/outlets and maximize return on investment.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with key accounts in off-trade channels.
  • Anticipate customers’ needs, manage their expectations, and contribute to high customer satisfaction.
  • Seek for business development, identifying new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Monitor Customers, Market, and Competitors' activity and suggest proactive actions when and if required.
  • Participate in all important decisions that contribute to creating and achieving sales overall vision and objectives.
  • Collaborate proactively with the Marketing team to ensure consistency between our brand strategies & Positioning and their Go-To-Market initiatives.


We might be a potential match if you are/have:

  • Eight to Ten years experience of sales and key account management in Liquor or FMCG industries
  • Solid understanding of the retail environment of the overall retail market, including online/e-commerce
  • Has been in a People Manager position for five years.
  • Has exposure to multicultural working environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Fluent in English, apart from the local language.
