HD Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) and seven affiliates of HD Hyundai participated in 'Posidonia 2024' in Athens, Greece, from June 3rd to 7th. HHI operates the Korean exhibition hall, displaying eco-friendly ship models, methanol-powered VLCCs, and next-generation low-carbon fuel-related technologies. In addition, a dual-fuel HiMSEN engine and a LNG carrier model were on displayed.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), founded by the late Chung Ju-yung on March 23, 1972 wrote the first chapter of its shipbuilding history in June, 1974 by completing construction of the world's largest shipyard and two 260,000-DWT VLCCs all at the same time. Canadian business delegation visits HD hyundai's Global Research and Development Center (GRC) to explore ways to cooperate on defense vessel building business A delegation of Canadian companies from the defense and IT sectors visited HD Hyundai's GRC to learn more about the capabilities of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in the warship building business and explore ways to cooperate. A total of sixteen CEOs from Canada's leading defence and IT companies visited the GRC in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do, on the afternoon of Monday, April 22. Yong-yeol Park, Executive Vice President of HHI's naval and special ship business unit, guided the delegation to introduce HD HHI's capabilities in the defense shipbuilding business and discuss future cooperation plans.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) recently signed a co-production agreement with Peruvian Navy for 4(four) naval ships which will be built in state-owned shipbuilder SIMA Peru S.A. The total contract amount is KRW 640.6 billion which marks the largest naval ship order placed by a Latin American country with a Korean shipbuilder. HHI will be responsible for the design, supply of parts and provision of technological support.

About 20 government officials from a total of nine countries, including Canada, Australia, Peru, the United States, the Philippines, Poland, Colombia, Ecuador, and the United Kingdom, attended the meeting to confirm the excellence of the K-ship. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) has received a US $463 million order in Peru to jointly build four warships with a local shipyard by 2029. It is the largest-ever defense export to Latin America by a domestic company. Peru's state-owned shipbuilder SIMA Peru S.A. placed the order for joint production of one 3,400-ton frigate, one 2,200-ton OPV(Offshore Patrol Vessel), and two 1,500-ton LCU(Landing Craft Unit)s to the Peruvian Navy at its shipyard.

On January 29, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) has reached the 15,000th unit of HiMSEN engine, the medium-sized engine developed with its own technology.
