Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has responded to Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelensky’s ongoing requests to use Western-donated weapons on Russian soil with a threat.

Knewz.com has learned that the autocrat made the ominous statement during a visit to the former Soviet vassal state of Uzbekistan.

“This constant escalation can lead to serious consequences,” Putin told the press in response to a question about Ukraine using Western weapons in their attacks on Russia.

“Representatives of countries that are NATO members, particularly in Europe, should be aware of what they are playing with.”

“They should keep in mind that theirs are small and densely populated countries,” he said via The Presidency of Russia.

“And this [is a] factor which they should keep in mind before they talk about striking deep into Russian territory.”

“It is another step towards a serious conflict in Europe, towards a global conflict,” Putin told the press.

The British media caught wind of the speech and saw it as a veiled threat against the United Kingdom with The UK Sun alleging: “The tyrant singled out Britain.”

If Putin was in fact specifically referring to the destruction of the island country, it would not be the first time.

In September 2023, Knewz.com reported that Russia’s head of the space agency spoke on the country’s infamous Satan-2 intercontinental ballistic missile.

The Dooms Day projectile is alleged to stand 14 stories tall and designed to carry multiple nuclear warheads.

The most unnerving claim however was that the missile is capable of sinking the UK in a single strike.

At the time, the British government dismissed the claims as “another example of disinformation peddled by the Kremlin.”

Putin's most recent warning to the West comes at a time when the idea of allowing Ukraine to use its donated weapons to strike deep inside Russia is receiving increasing attention.

As a testimony to the latter, Zelensky, during a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Madrid, Spain, told the media:

“The Russian forces are on Russian territory [...] just over the border [attacking] Ukrainian territory.”

“The front line is more or less the border line, and if you cannot attack the Russian forces on the other side of the front line because they are on the other side of the border, then, of course, you really reduce the ability of the Ukrainian forces to defend themselves,” he explained, per Voice of America.

If French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron’s stance on the matter is anything to go by, Zelensky’s plea was not in vain.

“How can we explain to Ukraine that they need to protect their cities . . . but that they don’t have the right to attack where the missiles are coming from?” he asked (via NBC News).

“It’s as if we were telling them we’re giving you arms but you cannot use them to defend yourself,” he said during a joint media session with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
