TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Kananaskis Public Land Use Zone – Trail Assessment, Maintenance & Brushing Projects
NOTE: Project access for this trail day will be via E-mountain bike. Volunteers must be able to ride an e-mountain bike on variable terrain including dirt roads and singletrack trails with hills.
This project will include a variety of work on various trails in the PLUZ. Types of work will vary depending on the trail section and could include::
- undertaking early-season trail assessments and Spring ‘sweeps’
- clearing downed trees and deadfall, brushing work to clear trail corridor and improve sightlines
- general trail maintenance using hand tools like hoes, shovels, rakes and pulaskis to undertake minor trail tread and drainage work to improve the trail condition
