TRAIL CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Bluerock Wildland Provincial Park – Trail Assessment, Maintenance & Brushing Projects
This project will include a variety of work on various trails in the wildland park region. Types of work will vary depending on the trail section and could include::
- undertaking early-season trail assessments and Spring ‘sweeps’
- clearing downed trees and deadfall, brushing work to clear trail corridor and improve sightlines
- general trail maintenance using hand tools like hoes, shovels, rakes and pulaskis to undertake minor trail tread and drainage work to improve the trail condition
Most projects will be 9:30am-3:30pm; meeting time & location will be confirmed in trail day reminder sent the day prior.
NOTE: some projects may require access by E-mountain bike (see the ‘For more information’ link below).
