SoftBank Group Corp.'s shareholder value (Net Asset Value, "NAV") increased by JPY20 trillion over the past year, as of June 20, 2024. This can largely be attributed to Arm's growth. In his keynote presentation at this year's AGM, SoftBank Group Corp. Chairman & CEO Masayoshi Son emphasized, "Our history is one of evolution and multiplication." This principle of constant evolution and expansion has been the cornerstone of our strategy, driving both growth and increased shareholder value. While our core business has always been and remains driving the Information Revolution to build a more connected, empowered, and joyful world for everyone, our means of achieving this have evolved over time with the advancement of #technology. At our recent AGM, Masayoshi Son explained how #ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) will change everything, advance the evolution of humanity, and ultimately bring about a more connected, empowered, and joyful world. #AI is developing rapidly, and AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) – predicted to surpass human wisdom tenfold – is expected to arrive in the next few years. ASI, on the other hand, will be 10,000 times more intelligent than any of the geniuses that have driven the evolution of humanity so far. While it has been humans advancing the evolution of humanity for the past 200,000 years, AGI and then ASI are expected to stimulate and further accelerate this evolution. Predicted to emerge in the next ten years, the realization of ASI will be a pivotal point in mankind's history, where all common sense will be overturned. Just one foreseeable example of this is smart #robots becoming able to independently complete everyday physical tasks, which in turn has the potential to revolutionize entire industries. On June 27, we announced the establishment of a joint venture, “SB TEMPUS Corp.,” with Tempus AI, Inc., a leader in artificial intelligence and precision medicine. The purpose of this joint venture is to provide precision medicine services in Japan, aiming to further advance #healthcare in Japan by utilizing #AI. [New announcement on June 27th] SoftBank Group Establishes Joint Venture “SB TEMPUS” with Tempus for Further Advancements of Japan's Healthcare Through the Utilization of Medical Data and AI SoftBank Group Corp. (TSE: 9984, “SBG”) today announced the establishment of a joint venture “SB TEMPUS Corp.” with Tempus AI, Inc., a leader in artificial intelligence and precision medicine (NASDAQ: TEM, “Tempus”). The joint venture agreement was entered into in May 2024 and the joint venture is expected to close, subject to customary closing conditions, as soon as July 2024 at which time each party will invest JPY15.0 billion in the venture. The purpose of the joint venture is to provide precision medicine services in Japan and SB TEMPUS aims for further advancements of healthcare in Japan by utilizing AI.
