PAE Design and Facility Management was awarded an $8 million dollar project as a subcontractor to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems to provide much needed HVAC upgrades to Yokosuka Navy Hospital in Japan. The scope of services includes installing multiple energy efficient Air Handling Units, Constant Volume Terminal Units, a Boiler, direct digital controls, and upgrades to the Metasys Building Management System. PAE plans to execute similar projects in the future as we expand services in the technology sector.

Pacific Architects & Engineers is an American company, founded in Japan in 1955 to provide architectural, engineering and facility maintenance services. By the mid-1970s the firm had become a major international provider of facility operations and maintenance services, and the headquarters were moved to Los Angeles. PAE Design and FM was established at that time to continue the firm's operations in Japan. PAE's architecture and engineering group has designed an extremely wide range of buildings, which in many ways has mirrored the post-war development of Japan. Starting with an emphasis on infrastructure and industrial buildings, PAE moved to office and apartment buildings in support of foreign investment in the 1980s, shifting to an emphasis on interior design and workplace restructuring in the post-bubble era, to a renewed support of foreign investment in the last few years. PAE's facility management group has evolved from custodial and maintenance services to a full FM services provider, including life-cycle cost control and IT mission-critical systems performance assurance. PAE provides FM services to a wide range of diplomatic, office and retail clients.

5th June, 2024 Yet it was another moment of delight at the presentation of AIA Latin America and AIA Sub-Saharan Africa, during the celebration of Sections and international design awards recipients by AIA International, on the first day of #AIA24 in Washington, DC. AIA International President Yew Kee Cheong, FAIA, MSIA welcomed invited guests to the epoch-making reception, amongst whom were the AUA President, @Donatien Kasseyet Kalume, the NIA President Mobolaji Adeniyi, past Presidents of AIA International and others. The presentations were led by AIA National Secretary Britt Lindberg, FAIA, NCARB, LEED AP and Lester Korzilius, AIA International Rep to AIA Strategic Council. Gustavo Ribeiro (President, AIA Latin America) and Olanre G. Olusola, FNIA (President, AIA Sub-Saharan Africa) received the presentations for their respective Sections of AIA International. All past Presidents and the current AIA International President were also decorated with AIA International Presidents Medal. This is the view of our local neighborhood shrine, with people praying for their business success and prosperity of this year. Located in central Tokyo, surrounded by many business buildings and shops, this shrine, Shiba daijingu is almost 1000 years old and has interesting historical stories, one of which, Megumi no kenka, became a subject of Kabuki drama during the Edo era.

Recently, PAE worked on replacing the motors for the Roman shades in an embassy's chancery. The project included a complete transformation of the chancery, resulting in a beautiful room with smoothly operating window shades. This transformation involved not only changing the motors for the window treatments but also replacing the wallpaper in the entire motor-changing area. 最近のPAEのプロジェクト写真です。大使館の会議室のローマンシェードのモーター交換工事ですが、それに伴い室内の壁クロスの交換も行ったので、壁も新しく美しくなり、ローマンシェードの操作もスムーズになりました。
